Steve Badger is new CEO for for Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville

SPRINGDALE, ARK (September 26, 2018) — Steve Badger, MBA, FACHE, has accepted the position of CEO for Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville, effective September 27, according to Denten Park, Market Chief Executive Officer for Northwest Health. Badger comes to the five-hospital network from Utah Valley Hospital where he has served since 2014.
With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, Badger is an accomplished leader. Most recently, he served as Senior Operations Officer for Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. Prior to that, he was Administrator of Orem Community Hospital in Orem, Utah. Both are affiliated with Intermountain Healthcare. Other experiences within the Intermountain system include work as Executive Director of Surgical Services, department manager, and charge nurse.
“Steve has a proven record for working closely with all stakeholders to improve customer experiences, physician relations and service lines.” Park said. “He has significant experience in driving quality results and growth for numerous services, including cardiac care, trauma and neurosurgery, all of which are growing service lines for Northwest Health. We welcome him to our outstanding team as we seek to continue to grow Northwest Health to exceed our community’s expectations.”
Dr. Lance Manning, Chief of the Medical Staff, said: “We were impressed with Steve’s previous experiences in improving quality and building relationships. I think he will be a great fit in Northwest Arkansas, and will focus on continued high performance for our Bentonville campus.”
Badger has been a leader in the community as well, serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mountainlands Federally Qualified Health Center in Utah County as well as president of his home owners association and the Wasatch Back Football Club.
He earned both a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing and a bachelor of arts degree in International Relations with Magna Cum Laude honors from Brigham Young University. He holds an MBA-Health Care emphasis, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors, from University of Phoenix.
