Northwest Health Offers “Talk with a Doc” Webinar

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (June 5, 2020) – Northwest Health invites women to join them online for "Talk with a Doc," a panel discussion that's part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women educational series on Thursday, June 11, from 12-12:30 pm.

A panel of three Northwest Health physicians will help participants learn ways to take action to minimize their risk of heart disease and stroke. There will also be a time set aside for questions.

Northwest Arkansas American Heart Association Board Member and Non-Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Ashu Dhanjal will serve as the event moderator. Panelists include Dr. Ang-Poland, family medicine physician at Northwest Medical Plaza-Springdale; Dr. Maria Baldasare, interventional cardiologist at Northwest Cardiology-Bentonville; and Dr. Alexis McCollum, obstetrician/gynecologist with Willow Creek Women’s Clinic.

“Our panelists understand both personally and professionally the issues and challenges that women face,” said Dr. Dhanjal. “For example, women have different risk factors as well as sometimes different symptoms for heart disease. We also have varying challenges as we seek to incorporate positive health habits into our busy lifestyles. We want to share information that will help women lower their risks by adding positive health habits and greater awareness to their lives.”
