3/27/2025
In recognition of National Doctors' Day, celebrated each year on March 30, Northwest Health made a charitable contribution to local nonprofit organizations in honor of its medical staff. The day is set aside to recognize physicians for their skills, sacrifice and service to the community.
"Our physicians are the heart and soul of Northwest Health, and we are proud to celebrate their dedication and commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients," said Juli McWhorter, Administrative Leader of Northwest Health, CEO of Northwest Medical Center - Willow Creek Women’s Hospital and Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital. "On National Doctors' Day, we wanted to show our gratitude by giving back to the community in a meaningful way."
Northwest Health's $5,000 charitable contributions were made to Peace at Home Family Shelter and Saving Grace, two local organizations that provide critical support and resources to underserved individuals and families in Northwest Arkansas.
"Our physicians work tirelessly to improve the health and wellbeing of our community, often going above and beyond the call of duty," said Robert Petrino, M.D., Northwest Health Tri-Campus Board of Trustees Chairman. "We are honored to recognize their invaluable contributions by supporting the important work of these local charities."
National Doctors' Day is an annual celebration that serves as a reminder of the vital role physicians play in our lives. From providing lifesaving treatments to offering compassionate care, doctors are essential members of the health care team who make a profound difference in the lives of their patients.
