Family Medicine Provider Melissa Velasquez, APRN, Joins Northwest Health

SPRINGDALE, Ark. (Jan. 31, 2025) — Melissa Velasquez, APRN, family medicine provider, recently joined the active medical staff of Northwest Health, practicing at Northwest Primary Care – Har-Ber Meadows. The clinic is located at 6636 W. Sunset Ave., Suite A, in Springdale. She is currently accepting new patients.

A family nurse practitioner, Velasquez earned her bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. With a background in emergency medicine and primary care, she treats patients of all ages – from newborns to adults.

Velasquez’s career covers more than 25 years in emergency care, family medicine and post anesthesia care. She offers sick and well visits in addition to managing acute and chronic illnesses. With a focus on health promotion and disease prevention, Velasquez provides compassionate care to her patients with an unwavering commitment to their well-being.

Velasquez is married and has two children. Her daughter attends college and is in the restaurant industry, and her son is a firefighter and EMT at Springdale Fire Department.
